Gladstone was a percussionist and bongo player for many reggae artist in the early 70's and 80's. He collaborated with many Island record artist such as Aswad, Bob Marley, Chris Blackwell and many others, you know who you are.
Naomi (eldest granddaughter) went to Island Life exhibition recently and was happily surprised to find a Gladstone pictured with a young Aswad band, then she found picture of him in the coffee table book and prints for sale on 50 years of Island records website.
This is just to show that Gladstone's legacy and iconic image is bigger than many will know and his memory and good work will live forever; through our hearts, minds, children, media, art, faith, spirit and words.
Stay blessed and One Love.
